Initial cleaning: the moment the facade comes into its own
After installation, glass and frames are covered in protective film residue, silicone, and mortar and paint splashes. Initial cleaning determines whether the facade looks as intended at acceptance. The wrong products or tools can permanently damage coatings and anodised finishes – so we match our methods and cleaning products to the material and the manufacturer’s requirements.
For facade contractors and general contractors, we undertake initial cleaning as a subcontractor, charged on measured quantities and coordinated with installation progress – for example, on the glass facade of an office tower in Cologne. For operators, we subsequently clean glass and facades at fixed intervals to keep the building looking its best over the long term.
